How the connection works.

Voqal AI connects to your Zoho CRM account via the Zoho API using OAuth 2.0 authentication. When a call ends, the integration searches for an existing lead or contact by phone number or email. If a match is found, the record is updated with the latest call data. If the caller is new, a lead or contact is created automatically based on your routing preferences.

Call activities are logged against the relevant record, including the full transcript, duration, outcome, and any structured data captured during the conversation. If the call results in a sales opportunity, a deal is created or updated in your chosen pipeline.

The integration works natively with Zoho Blueprints and workflow rules. When a record is created or updated by Voqal AI, any active Blueprints or workflows fire exactly as they would from a manual update — including transitions, field updates, email alerts, and webhooks.

New callers are created as leads or contacts with their name, phone, email, and conversation details. Existing records are matched and updated. Duplicate checking uses Zoho's built-in rules to keep your database clean.

Call Activity Logging

Every call is logged as an activity on the relevant record. The log includes the full transcript, call duration, outcome classification, and any notes captured by the AI. Your team gets complete call context from within Zoho CRM.

Blueprint & Workflow Triggers

Record updates from Voqal AI trigger active Blueprints and workflow rules. A call that qualifies a lead can automatically advance it through your Blueprint stages, fire email alerts, assign tasks, or update related records.

Deal Pipeline Management

When a call identifies a sales opportunity, Voqal AI creates a deal in the correct pipeline and stage. Deal amount, expected close date, and probability can be set based on the conversation outcome and your configured rules.

Voqal AI works with Zoho CRM Standard, Professional, Enterprise, and Ultimate editions. The integration uses the Zoho CRM API, which is available on all paid plans. The free edition has limited API access, so we recommend Standard or above for reliable syncing.

Yes. When Voqal AI updates a record that has an active Blueprint, the transition is triggered automatically. For example, if a call qualifies a lead as "Contacted", the Blueprint transition from "New" to "Contacted" fires with all its configured actions, validations, and approvals.

Yes. Voqal AI can write to any custom module in your Zoho CRM account. During setup, you select which modules receive call data and map the fields accordingly. This works for custom modules created through the Zoho CRM module builder.

Yes. If you use Zoho CRM as part of your Zoho One subscription, the integration works identically. Data synced to Zoho CRM is available across your entire Zoho One suite, including Zoho Desk, Zoho Analytics, and Zoho SalesIQ.
