Website design for painters and decorators in Greater Manchester
People hire a decorator with their eyes. They want to see a room you’ve finished and think, “I want mine to look like that.” Your website should make that easy.
Updated: 24 October 2026
The short version
Decorating is visual, so your photos do most of the selling. After that, people want to know how you price a job and when you could fit them in.
Make the gallery the main event
Good, bright photos of finished rooms are worth more than any paragraph you write. A hallway, a living room, a front door, a shopfront. Whatever you’ve done and are proud of.
Add a short line to each. “Full hallway, stairs and landing, two coats, woodwork in satinwood.” It shows care, and it tells people you do the kind of job they need.
If you do wallpapering, exteriors or commercial work, give each its own section so people can find it. Use photos you’ve got permission to share, and never use stock images as if they were your own.
Explain how you quote
Do you come out and look? Quote by room or by the whole job? Is paint included, or does the customer choose and buy it? People worry about the unknowns. A couple of sentences here saves a lot of back and forth on the phone.
Be honest about your diary
Good decorators are often booked up weeks ahead. Say so. Someone planning a room for next month would rather know now than find out after a site visit.
Show the things that build trust
If you’re a Dulux Select Decorator, say so. Members are assessed by Dulux, and their work can come with a two-year Dulux guarantee, which is easy for customers to understand. Add your insurance and any other guarantees you offer. Only show what you actually hold.
Make getting a quote easy
Mention the towns you cover, like Ashton, Stalybridge, Hyde and Denton, if that’s your patch. Then add tap-to-call on every page, and a short form that asks which rooms, the postcode and roughly when they’d like it done. If people can send a photo of the room, even better.
How we build this for decorators: a gallery that shows your work properly, your quoting process explained, your areas listed, and a quote form that asks the right questions. We design it, build it, host it and look after it. There’s no build fee. Basic is £49 a month for up to five pages. Plus is £69 a month for up to ten pages, with website chat and basic SEO and AI search setup. The pricing page has everything that’s included.
Questions decorators ask us
Can I show my work room by room?
Yes. A gallery of finished rooms, with a line on what each job involved, is usually the heart of a decorator’s website. Use photos you’ve got permission to share.
Can I change my photos as I finish new jobs?
Yes. Every plan includes monthly editing time, and after launch we make content edits within your allowance within two working days. Send over the new photos and we’ll swap them in.
Can I cancel if it’s not for me?
Yes. On a rolling plan, give at least 14 days’ notice before your next billing date to stop the next payment. Discounted commitment plans have their own agreed minimum term.
